National Black Theatre Festival

Out of the many projects I have worked on over the decades, the National Black Theatre Festival (NBTF) is the largest scale endeavor I have embarked on. I worked with the late Larry Leon Hamlin to mount this festival and once we launched the first one in 1989, it exceeded our wildest dreams!

Theatre Business Training

Students join my professional theatre company to gain real-world experience in both the business and artistic realms of theatre. They engage in hands-on work in the areas of marketing, administration, graphic design, production, performance, fundraising and more.

Theatre Residency at Florida Memorial University

I have begun working with Provost Dr. Adrienne Cooper and the administration at Florida Memorial University (FMU) to implement a theatre program that will support the branding of FMU as a destination for the performing arts! My team and I will be working on organizing a diverse range of theatre programming including but not limited to musicals, classic plays, play readings, acting classes, workshops, guest lectures, youth productions, and a theatre business training program. Our goal is to serve both the FMU student body and community residents of all ages, abilities, and cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
